There are many advantages to owning a Havanese puppy. Havanese are people-oriented dogs that love to be around you. They don’t tolerate long periods of being alone and can become anxious if left alone. While Havanese are sociable, they are not dominant and should have a stable family environment. However, they can bark a lot, so they are not good choices for apartment living.
While Havanese puppies are relatively inexpensive, they can still be expensive if they are show-quality dogs. A purebred Havanese puppy can cost anywhere from $1,500 to $2,500. If you’re willing to spend more than this, you may consider adopting a puppy from a rescue or adoption center. While Havanese puppies are usually cheaper than other breeds, they still require a lot of care and attention.
The first step in purchasing a new puppy is to find a good breeder in your area. Many of these breeders have several locations throughout the United States, and they will deliver a puppy to New York or Rhode Island. Visiting a breeder’s site is an excellent way to learn about the dog and how to get started. You can contact a breeder or browse online listings for Accent Havanese puppies for sale.

Havanese dogs have double-coated fur. The top coat is long and wavy and extremely soft. The dogs were originally brought from the warm climates of Cuba and the Caribbean and are therefore non-shedding dogs. Since these dogs shed less, they’re good for people with allergies. Moreover, they make great companions for children with allergies. However, if you’re allergic to dander, you may want to consider a different breed.
In addition to its thick, non-shedding double coat, Havanese need regular brushing. Despite their non-shedding double coat, this breed of dog is prone to tangling. Because of its high level of activity and vigorous activity, they tend to develop knots. Brushing their coat regularly will help keep them healthy and help you manage separation anxiety. Lastly, the dogs need daily brushing sessions to prevent them from getting excessively dirty and from developing parasites.
